Android phones can be USB tethered via RNDIS protocol on Windows and Linux. As far as I understood Apple does not provide RNDIS driver for OSX.
Are there RNDIS drivers for OSX by third party (Android vendor) or community?
I don't want to use any any app for tethering, I want the real thing, as other operating systems can do it, so please no suggestions for alternative methods.

Since then, this driver has come out. It's FOSS too.

RNDIS is a Microsoft-proprietary protocol and it's highly unlikely that Apple is going to support it just for the sake of Android tethering.
Your best chance is for a 3rd party to write a Mac OS X driver for RNDIS. Don't expect this to be free (as in beer) though.
Proliant bl460c gen8 drivers for mac. However you should be able to use the Android phone as a USB dial-up modem, which was the standard way for tethering before the iPhone came about and still a supported method in OS X and others.

We're testing out and Dell Rugged laptop (Latitude E5404)and I'm working on getting it ready to go for the user. They use 6620L MiFis out on the road usually tethered.

This *&^)(# thing will NOT install properly. I contacted Dell and Verizon to get things sorted out, which didn't happen.
The situation: I plug the MiFi in via usb. The driver begins installing. Initially, it says 'MiFi 6620L' then converts to 'Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device' driver. Things appear to be going well until the yellow exclamation point pops up and Windows alerts you that the driver installation failed. When reviewing the driver in Device Manager, the driver details indicate 'The driver could not start. Error code 10.'
I have:
~ Uninstalled/reinstalled the driver
~ Uninstalled/reinstalled the USB drivers
~ Removed any potentially conflicting software
~ Tested the device on a known working computer (Panasonic CF-30/31 with Win7 x32 - MiFi works fine on the old laptops)
~ Tested a known working device on the Dell (Win7 x64 - same problem - can't tether.)
~ Attempted selecting a different but similar driver via Windows
~ Searched automatically for driver updates
~ Checked for updates to the MiFi - it's up-to-date
~ Scoured the internet using a variety of search terms and nothing definitive
~ Ran CCleaner to detect any possible registry snags that may have negatively influenced the driver installation
~ Tried on all four USB ports on the computer
~ Ran SFC and chkdsk multiple times
~ Rolled back the BIOS versions all the way to the first
~ Reviewed pre-boot system settings for any possible options that may be impacting the start of the driver
~ Uninstalled Intel devices and reinstalled
~ Copied the drivers from a known, matching, working computer without change
~ Performed a clean boot to Windows and the problem still occurs
~ Performed a factory refresh on the computer and the problem with tethering occurs straight out of the gate

It seems that the driver should just work. It can't be installed from anywhere. It's not meant to be installed like that. It's supposed to be plug and play.

Dell nor Verizon really know what's going on. The information is being passed along to the network engineers with Verizon to see if they have additional ideas. Acer 6678 owz scanner driver for mac.
